Aruba Travel Options

There are several Aruba travel options to get to the island.

Commercial airline flights
Island Hopper Flights
Cruise ship
Private or chartered boats or yacht
Chartered flights

The most convenient and popular way to arrive at your Aruba vacation destination, is flying. Arriving via Caribbean cruise ship is a very close second.

All flights arrive at Aruba's state-of-the-art Queen Beatrix International Airport. Chartered fights are fairly common to Aruba, especially during the high season (December – April). However, nearly all commercial airlines can get you there, and many offer cheap airfare to the island.

Many Aruba hotels and airlines offer excellent deals during the low season, and mid season. But, with a little research on the internet, you can find discount airfare to Aruba even in the popular season.

In 2007, new inter-island flights have made it easier to island-hop between the ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao).

There are many different cruise lines that make Aruba one of their ports of call. Some of the bigger names are Holland America Line, Celebrity Cruises, Princess Cruise Lines, and Royal Caribbean International, and so many more.

The only port for yachts and chartered boats arriving in Aruba is at the Renaissance Marina in Oranjestad, the capital city of Aruba. The Marina is part of the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino hotel, though all are welcome to dock there. Private yacht travelers approaching Oranjestad should call channel 16/11 to contact the Aruba Port Authorities in order to pass through Clearance, Customs, and Immigration.
